Data handled

The extension handles only the information the user enters into resume profiles—such as name, contact details, summary, skills, experience, education, and professional preferences—and labels from fields visible on an application page when the user requests a review or fill action.

Purpose and consent

This data is used exclusively to store resume versions, recognize compatible fields on Gupy pages, and fill them after an explicit user click. The extension never submits an application and never fills fields in the background.

Storage and transmission

• Profiles are stored locally through chrome.storage.local.
• There is no server, analytics, telemetry, advertising, or tracking.
• No profile, page content, or browsing history is transmitted to the developer or any third party.
• Exported backups are encrypted in the browser with AES-256-GCM; the passphrase is never stored.

Browser permissions

• storage: saves profiles locally.
• activeTab: allows action only on the tab selected by the user.
• gupy.io: limits form recognition to Gupy pages.

Sharing, retention, and deletion

Data is not shared, sold, or used for advertising, credit decisions, or behavioral profiling. It remains in the browser until the user deletes a profile, clears the extension's data, or removes the extension. Downloaded backups remain under the user's control.

Limited use commitment

Use of information follows the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including Limited Use requirements. No person receives access to content stored by the extension.

Changes

If data practices change, this policy and the disclosures inside the extension will be updated before the new version takes effect.
